Codementrix is operated by Bikram Lenka (“we”, “us”). This site publishes programming articles and also offers an online compiler, developer tools, downloadable projects, document products, a freelance portfolio, and an Earn With Us contributor programme.
Using Codementrix means you agree to this policy. It is written for visitors in India and worldwide. It is not legal advice.
Information we collect
- Account details — name, email, and password when you register for a buyer account, Earn With Us, or admin access.
- Newsletter — email if you join the list on the home page or in the footer. We use it only to tell you when a new article, project, or product is published. Each email includes an unsubscribe link; that link marks your address inactive so you stop receiving mail. Staff can delete the address from the admin list.
- Messages you send — hire requests, feedback, blog comments, and Earn submissions (including files you upload).
- Purchases — product and project orders, payment status, and identifiers returned by Razorpay. We do not store full card or UPI PIN data on this server.
- Usage — pages viewed, article view counts, product PDF usage (including free-document limits), compiler language, and tool use needed to run the feature.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device, and cookies or similar identifiers required for login, security, and (if enabled) advertising.
Do not paste passwords, private keys, or production secrets into the compiler, tools, comments, or forms.
How we use information
- To run the site: accounts, articles, compiler, tools, products, projects, portfolio hire, and Earn With Us.
- To process payments and deliver downloads or PDF records you generate.
- To email newsletter subscribers when a new article, project, or product is published (only if they joined the list).
- To keep the site secure (login OTP for admin, rate limits, fraud checks).
- To understand which articles are read (view counts) so we can improve content.
- To show advertisements, including personalized ads, when Google AdSense or similar partners are enabled.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, protect forms (CSRF), remember session state, and, when ads are active, to help measure and personalize advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block essential cookies, login and checkout may stop working.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may display ads from Google AdSense and other advertising partners. To meet Google’s publisher rules we state the following:
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
Google may collect and process data as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If other ad networks serve ads on Codementrix, we will name them here and point to their opt-out pages where available.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland may see a consent prompt before non-essential advertising cookies are set, as required by Google’s EU user consent policy.
Payments
Paid projects and product plans are processed by Razorpay. Razorpay handles card, UPI, and net-banking data under its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment, amount, and order identifiers so we can unlock downloads or subscriptions.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Payment processors (Razorpay) to complete a purchase you start.
- Email delivery for admin OTP, account or Earn password messages, and newsletter notices you signed up for.
- Hosting, security, and analytics providers that process data on our instructions.
- Advertising partners such as Google, as described above.
- Authorities if the law requires it.
Retention
We keep account, order, hire, feedback, comment, and Earn records for as long as needed to run the service, meet tax or legal duties, and resolve disputes. Compiler input is processed to return a result; do not treat the compiler as a vault for confidential code.
Your choices
- Update or close a buyer or Earn account by contacting us (details below).
- Ask us to correct or delete personal data we hold, subject to legal retention.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any newsletter email. That marks your address inactive. You can also ask us to delete your address.
- Opt out of personalized Google ads using Ads Settings, as above.
Children
Codementrix is aimed at learners and working developers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, admin OTP, and access controls. No website is completely secure. Use unique passwords and never share OTP codes.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
